Mervyn had proposed going to go walking to Jesse, David, Brigitte. We were all very interested. So we arrange to join him and to have a picnic. Mervyn had gone walking before with an expert from CSIRO on bird song. Bird songs of some Australian birds mimic others. The weather was perfect and trees gave us some shade. In addition to birds, we saw high termite nests, as tall as Jesse standing up. The odd snake presented no danger. We had our picnic.
