Online Funeral Notices
Online Death Notices
What is an Online Funeral Notice ?
Our Online Funeral Notices can be viewed on mobile, tablet or desktop devices and are a modern alternative to a printed funeral or obituary notice in a local or national newspaper. They may also be referred to as Online Death Notices or an Online Obituary.
They can be used to announce the death of your loved one and to communicate the details of their funeral and memorial service. Share the Funeral Notice using email or social media including Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter and LinkedIn.
You can also choose to link the Funeral Notice to an Online Condolence Book to allow family, friends and colleagues to leave their condolence messages.
During the current COVID-19 pandemic our Online Remembrance books are a socially distanced safe way to collect memories and condolences messages from friends, colleagues and family.
At the very top of the Funeral Notice the surname will appear capitalised and in bold. The first name (and middle name if desired) will appear in bold on the line above
The next line details the age at death as well as the date and place of death.
The next paragraph is for the content of the Online Funeral Notice itself and should start by announcing the details and if appropriate the circumstances of your loved ones death. This is usually followed by details of your loved ones family.
If desired a eulogy summary can then be added detailing their work, hobbies and achievements
The next paragraph can be used to specify the funeral or memorial service details. This includes the date and time of the service and also includes a map detailing the location of the service.
A further section of the Online Funeral Notice can be used to specify family wishes such as “No flowers please”, Close family only”, Donation to …… , etc..
The next section includes links to popular social media sites to allow the Online Funeral Notice to be shared.
And finally the bottom section can be used to link to one of our Online Remembrance Books to allow friends, families and colleagues to leave their condolence messages and memories.
Each Online Funeral Notices can be edited and changed at any time by the registered owner of the Online Funeral Notice. The editing of an Online Funeral Notice by anyone other than the registered owner is not allowed.
