Steve has shown me incredible generosity and kindness over the years, like he clearly did for so many. 

He gave me my first job – a couple of summers spent at Computappoint as part of the famous sons and daughters club. He even took on my best friend, and later my Sister too and off we all went into the world now with something decent to write on our CVs. 

Later in life, Steve offered me his Fitzrovia flat for a couple of months while I was house-hunting. Of course he didn’t let me pay any rent. While I was there, I found and put an offer on a London flat of my own. So I guess he helped me find my first home too. 

Around this time, I got to see the other side of the sons and daughters club too, spending lots of time chatting with Steve about candidates and trying to get them jobs at Publicis. He really just wanted to help people and always saw the best in everyone.

He was truly a special man, a very good friend to my Dad, and I will always think of him in very the highest regard – and be especially grateful for his part in these small matters of a job and a home.
