I used to see Jacky at the ‘village pump’ most days. We’d be getting coffee and it would be a chance to have a chat and get Jacky’s wisdom on the world. We would often have a laugh over some of the more ‘bureaucratic’ things we were both doing, as well as having a natter about the weather and the general ‘goings on’ around the office. Jacky always had a smile and a story to tell and her anecodotes sent me away to my desk feeling much better. She was a welcoming and a cheerful presence in the Oxford office and I am going to miss her very much.
I want to extend my condolences to Jacky’s family and to say how sorry I am for their loss. May Jacky rest in peace.
