Lee Rainbow
Dear Jo, Lucy and Jake,
I am deeply saddened and heartbroken to hear about Lee’s sudden passing. I can only imagine the pain and shock you must all be feeling, and I am so incredibly sorry for your loss.
I had the privilege of working very closely with Lee for many years, but particularly during the Covid 19 lending schemes, which was one of the most intense and challenging periods of our working lives. Lee brought such enthusiasm, professionalism and positivity to everything he did. Somehow, even when the pressure was enormous, he had a way of making those difficult days enjoyable and genuinely memorable.
At one point I think I practically had Lee on speed dial, but nothing was ever too much trouble for him. He was always there, always willing to help and always approached things with such energy and good humour. I will remember those times, our conversations and the laughs we shared with so much fondness.
Lee made a real impression on the people who had the privilege of working alongside him, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have known him and to have shared such an important chapter of my career with him.
My thoughts and deepest condolences are with you all during this incredibly difficult time. I hope, in time, there is some comfort in knowing how highly regarded Lee was and how warmly he will be remembered by so many of us.
Sending you all my love and strength.
