I only had the pleasure of getting to know Nick whilst sat near the team within the Chaucer office and through interactions in internal meetings. And by “getting to know” it was really listening in to his insight into the Lloyd’s market and his always entertaining anecdotes. In Divisional meetings, he always spoke with such passion and it was always clear how well respected he was. However, I have to say my personal highlight was always hearing (overhearing) the update on the night before’s walking football match, whether that be the quality of refereeing or the overexhuberance of certain players that was directed at him, whilst he was refereeing! A vibrant part of the office, who will be missed. RIP Nick.
