This is such sad and shocking news. The words used by others to describe Dan are so true; kind, patient, gentle, approachable, calm, rational. Dan was all of these things, and not just some of the time. Every interaction I had with Dan was true to these character traits, and it made those interactions so easy, productive, and enjoyable. He will be missed by many. My condolences to his family. I hope they know how much he was appreciated by those who worked with him.
