Dear Bryan,

I have always been impressed by your cheerfulness and positive outlook towards life. It wasn’t long ago when I went to the Cathedral at Sheffield and sang carols together with You, Eve and John. Needless to say you said you enjoyed travelling and have been to many countries. Research says people who travel are not just knowledgeable, they are kind and empathetic. In fact, these do resonate with you. I’ve only shared a little time with you but these are my best memories of you that I will cherish forever. I really wanted to introduce Andrew to you when we meet the next time but time hasn’t given that opportunity to me. Nevertheless I have been talking about you to Andrew and we think you’re a hero and you will be remembered forever. We have been looking at Marlborough newspapers and the council website. We think you’ve been given the best honours that you truly deserve. We send our deepest condolences and love to John and Eve and Dan’s family. Eve and John have let us know that you passed away at peace when the church bells rang and that takes me on a memory ride of my visit to Marlborough. You took us to the church and you were the bell ringer on that day 🔔 We’ll light a candle for you tomorrow and remember all fond memories of you. We will miss you.
