I had the pleasure of spending many weekends and evenings with Rod as a rugby coach, getting to know Sam and Rachel along the way.  Rod was an enthusiastic force to be reconned with, he had a presence well beyond his physical stature. He was always willing to step forward and lead when needed, and sometimes when he wasn’t 😉  Another friend taken too early, rest in peace Rod.
