I’m deeply saddened to hear about Kome. My most heartfelt condolences to her family and friends. Kome was a generous and gracious colleague. We first met in 2018 when she was doing her DPhil and I had joined the department as a research assistant. She would come into the then CTU room (now Health Behaviours) to store and retrieve participant documents. This was usually towards the end of the day or the weekend, which gave us plenty of time to share stories and a giggle. It’s a true testament to her character that I remember these initial chats. In this challenging moment, I find solace in remembering Kome’s warm-hearted, compassionate and optimistic nature. She left a lasting impression and one that will be cherished, always.
