It was another after office hours meeting. This time we (managers then)were finalising our interviewed candidates for recruitment. We dealt with “must recruit” and reject lists easily. We waded thro the KIV ones selecting those we agreed to make offers.

Finally, one last slot but two equally promising candidates. Results, activities, etc. ..“Just give it to the poor guy” .?.“The other candidate can afford uni and will have other opportunities”

“For the poor guy this may be his only chance in life”. “So just give it the poor guy”
