I am so sorry and shocked to hear the news of Ruth’s passing. I knew Ruth for many years and worked closely with her as part of the Independent Advisory Group to the Met Police and Hate Crimes Working Groups and on tackling violence aginst women and girls. Ruth was a tour de force, incredibly generous and with the kindest heart. I, like many others, learned so much from her and her colleagues at Stay Safe East in advocating for better services for women and girls and more focus on the needs of women with disabilities.  

Please pass on my deepest and sincerest condolences to Ruth’s family, friends and to all the staff at Stay Safe East. Ruth’s passing will leave a huge gap but her legacy will live on in all the lives she touched.
