I have only fond memories of Joe. I first met Joe on my first day at Arup in the BERTS project office in Putney, back in 1996. He taught me so much, whilst having lots of fun – especially the project Christmas parties, they were wild..

Joe and I worked together ever since as part of the Civil Engineering team at Arup in London. We’ve worked closely on many projects including Canary Wharf which Joe maintained an involvement in through his career. Joe was an excellent engineer, an impactful leader, a mentor to so many and a good friend to me. He held a deep domain knowledge and a strength in sharing his experience with others. He was generous with his time, open and honest and always great at solving technical challenges.

I treasure the time we spent working together and will never forget him. Miss you Joe.
