My amazing Uncle (and Godfather) Alastair – what a wonderful man!! Alastair and his wife Jenny have always been such an encouragement and inspiration for us – not just for the amazing things that they have achieved throughout their lives, but for the type of people they are – so warm, witty, and wise, and always so cheerful, positive, generous, kind, and absolutely full of the joys of life. As a teacher myself, I often talk proudly to others about how my uncle and aunt have remained heavily involved in the University of the 3rd Age, and that learning and growth are for life, not just for school. We have always enjoyed sharing stories about the latest cricket news or about his love of Brighton football team. Alastair and Jenny have without fail generously sent a large hamper of special foods to our family each Christmas which has always been a special highlight of our Christmas times together. I feel privileged and blessed to have know him, and he will never be forgotten.
