To Francis’ dear Family and Friends, My heart felt sympathies go out to you all at this very sad time. As a colleague, it’s difficult for us to believe that we won’t be seeing his beautiful smile and hear his laughter surrounding us, see him walking through our corridors and hanging on his words and soaking up his knowledge and experience, like little sponges. Like so many, his stories have been told over and over, for the past few days. If kind words were money, the Ferryman has been well paid, as he moves on to his after-life and final resting place. Francis and I shared many tales of our shared passion for overseas voluntary work and he was an avid supporter of anything I tried to achieve. I am so grateful to have shared some time with him. He will be sadly missed by all who new him.
