Stephen Fell
Stephen was so kind to me when I first started working at Kent College. He went out of his way to encourage me to come on so many of his famous Sunday boarding trips and it was really through those that I first considered working in boarding. I will cherish so many memories of Stephen. I will remember his unique fashion sense and hastily following his trademark bobble hat on and off coaches, trains and Tubes with groups of boarders in tow. I will remember his deep and abiding love for cakes and desserts of all kinds and how he was known to cross roads with very little warning just because he had spotted a bakery on the other side that he wanted to try. I will remember his generosity of spirit, his joy for life, and his ability to find the good in all things. But, above all, I will always remember his kindness to a new member of staff trying to find her feet and his wise encouragement to contribute to the community that is Kent College because you get so much back in return. He certainly gave so much. He was my colleague but he was also my friend and I will miss him very much. My deepest sympathies go out to his family at this very sad time.
