May God rest, Eugenie’s soul in peace. I knew her as a genuine person and a dear colleague who shared valuable knowledge with her students who held a loved appreciation of her relationship with them. She connected well with her students, advanced their research and knowledge and cared for their wellbeing. As a colleague, she was truthful, spoke her mind and believes, and connected with others. As a solid researcher, made a lasting impact of several lines of research, one on Islamic educational management in a way many are not able to. She will be missed, yet, such memories will stay with us about her filled life which she lived as she wanted.
