Eugenie crossed many thresholds in her scholarship and in her life travels.

She truly embraced international perspectives.

She was that rare scholar in educational leadership who could think across so many domains, and so brilliantly and beautifully.

She embodied the best in academia, and she gave generously.

I shall remember her kindness and our often long email exchanges about scholarship, art and life that I cherished.
