We had some laughs.

Darren and I first met working at Lovell Partnerships. We hit it off when we started talking about our holidays, Darren loved a holiday! It wasn’t long before he invited me to the pub and from there we had some great laughs. We both left Lovell and virtually lost contact with each other, only staying in touch every now and then on Facebook. Years later I walk into the Durkan offices and there he was, that huge smile on his face followed by a ‘alright mate haha’. It wasn’t long before we were laughing about the good old days and our holiday adventures.

I use to joke with him that he was a terrible surveyor and when he was stressed I use to tell him to ‘keep his hair on’ (running joke). In truth, he was a good at his job, dependable, conscientious and always wanted to do the right thing. Darren was a gent, a kind man who if he could would do anything for you, but most of all he was always wanting a laugh and to enjoy life as best he could. 

It’s a great lost to Durkan and I will miss him. I wish all his friends and family the best.
