Charlotte was my manager when I joined DDaT as a delivery manager at the start of the Covid pandemic in 2020. We both lived in Carshalton and so were able to have socially-distanced catch-ups in The Grove. I found these incredibly useful as I couldn’t meet any other team members in person. She was a fantastic, inspiring coach and helped me get to grips with the tech world and its language, much of which was new to me then.
With her help, I got promoted 8 months later. I joined MBTP and we kept in touch and met up for drinks: we shared a sense of humour, a love of small furry animals and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving in a complex and fluid (AKA chaotic) tech environment.
Charlotte was kind, supportive, really funny and very determined. She was generous with her time and wanted to help junior colleagues (particularly women) to develop and thrive in the tech world. She’ll be very much missed and my thoughts are with her family at this very difficult time.
