Steve was an awesome bloke, he had a calming and confident manner that would always steady the team during high visibility incidents but he was always had a Billy Connolly quote ready at hand for the right moment to ease the tension. I worked with Steve for 15 years as a peer and his manager, he was dependable and supportive and in all those years I never saw him angry (i just realised that whilst writing this). I will miss Steve and his tales on a Monday from what he did over the weekend.
