Working with Derek was an absolute pleasure, Derek’s passion, drive and integrity made him a stand out gentleman.  He was and will remain an inspiration and role model to me. He always knew how to make you laugh even at the most serious moments.  Throughout his years at Barclays and beyond he gained the trust and faith of many. He always had time for his people.  He always triple checked that you were OK.  He was one of the good guys and his absence will definitely be felt.  My heart and prayers go out to Esther, Beth, Fraser and Ashley as well as the rest of his family/friends. I will miss you my dear friend.
