Sean was not just my pain doctor he was a lot more and when you were with him you felt at ease and in safe hands. One can never forget the great relief he gave me from pain and discomfort.  He was friendly& empathetic , always ready with a joke or some amusing cynical remark. He made one feel they could discuss just about anything with him and we always had some chat about life , politics, the NHS or society. He was more like a friend than just your doctor. He gave me good advice about my condition and was always ready to help. In fact earlier this year he worked on my neck twice the second time due to my not listening to his advice, he quipped that only you could get an appointment that quickly you seem to get special treatment here. Of course l know he gave all his patients special treatment. Selfishly I am left wondering where to next, can I ever be so lucky as to find another doctor like Sean he had a unique quality about him, it never occurred to me that he would be gone, rather I was sure he would be the one looking after me well into my advancing years. I shall miss him because I considered him to be my doctor, friend and confidant (we even had our secret pact!) and he will always remain with me in my thoughts. He was a character for the ages and a brilliant doctor. 

Please take solace in your loss he will be remembered for the lovely man he was. May he rest in eternal peace.
