Dr White was quite a remarkable, charming and highly knowledgeable doctor with outstanding compassion and care for his patients. I count myself most fortunate to have received extremely successful  treatment from him.  I was never ever anxious when attending appointments/ procedures, always knowing that he had the ability to put things right.  And he did! I was actually in the throes of writing to him to say that l was now free from back pain and that his treatment and Kieran Macphail’s physio had done the trick and l was better.  He will be remembered by me with fondness for his continuing  care and interest in my case and will be much missed….

Sean was one of a kind. Not only an extremely talented and honest doctor in his profession, but also a very kind, caring and funny individual, like a friend, who made me feel at ease even though arriving at each appointment in such agony! He would always make the effort to come and meet in the waiting room, giving me a ‘what have you done this time’ look with a big smile, and always made me laugh – as much as I could with the prolapsed discs! I’ve known Sean since 2014 and I wouldn’t be up and walking again if it weren’t for Sean. Thank you Sean. I will miss you.  My very best wishes go to his family and friends, he will certainly be missed by many.  Much love, Lindsey x …

I recently became a patient of Sean White and  when I met him I was immediately impressed by him. He was charming and very caring. He had great empathy and you knew  that if you had met him socially you would have made a friend for life….

Seems silly to say that this news hit me with great sadness, but taht’s what happened.  I thoroughly enjoyed the care I received from Sean…not treatment, care.  And what a sense of humour and matter of factness he went about things.  He understood pain is a personal thing and finding the cause can be a journey in and of itself.  He was committed to that journey.  I had so many other doctors explore my issues but were unable (or unwilling) to help because a scan didn’t give them the answer.  Sean was determined to find the problem and set a course to recovery, which he succedded at.  It’s strange, I only met with him about a dozen times over the past 7 or so years but this has caused me to really miss him now.  I hope his friends and family find the space to enjoy his memory despite the loss….

Sean was one of a kind.  Thoughtful and considerate.  He was the very best of doctors as he understood immediately what was needed. He dealt with ones pain and and made sure that you took his advice which he wrapped up in a bundle of laughs!  I shall miss his help and his kindness….

We have known dear Sean for over 15 years and he has been looking after my back problems in his particularly caring manner and jocularly as well.  Greeting us warmly in his trendy braces latterly – me with a kiss and John with a warm and professional welcome.  He will be dearly missed by us and many many more from over the years….

I had the great honor of meeting Dr. White last fall. Extremely kind and professional person, he gave me serenity and strength in a moment of great pain. I will always remember his smile, his humour and his reassurances. Thank you doctor for what you gave me, I will always remember it. Deeply condolences to all the family and Nicola. Elena Guarino …

We felt ourselves “Privileged” to have known Sean, in my case for around 30 years, and I introduced him to my husband,Geoff. The “also extraordinary” Nicholas Potter, recommended Sean to me, for which I will always be grateful. Sean was “at the top of his game”, a total Professional, managed a small treatment theatre as if it was easy – it was to him. Amazingly knowledgeable, very highly skilled, totally respected, inspirational, and by god, he “fixed you.” I feel sorry for all the people who needed Pain Management, perhaps a “Pain Injection”, but never got treated by Sean. I have come across lots of people who didn’t realise that Pain Injections actually worked… because they had been treated by “Operatives” who couldn’t do them….” Sean once spoke to my husband,Geoff, and was expressing his total frustration at an article in the Lancet which had apparently said; “Pain injections don’t work”. (Sean solved Geoff’s back problem later that day.) I must look up whichever idiot this was, and tell them about Sean….What a loss he is – as an extraordinary Consultant/Physicain, yes, but as a “totally decent, completely hilarious human being”. Leaving a consultation with Sean, you felt the…

It was with great sadness that we heard of the sudden passing of Dr Sean White, our pain relief management doctor who somehow was always there for us when he was needed.  The philosophy in his practice was always that if you were in pain you really didn’t want to wait weeks to see him, how this was managed was truly amazing. It is just one year since we first met Sean White and from the outset we were always impressed by his care and consideration and the great desire to help manage pain. And this was most evident when I suffered terrible pain when I was in France last year.He either emailed or telephoned me every day until we decided that the only solution was for me to return home.  And help he did, he really sorted me out.  But not only that, when I came back home a few weeks later, still free from my summer pain, he gave me such words of support and encouragement that it made me regain my strength and overcome my pain. Dr Sean White was a kind and caring man who was there when his patients needed him.  Mike and I…

After learning of Sean’s passing I was so deeply shocked I could’nt formulate the words to express my feelings. He was simply one of the kindest, funny, compassionate people that I have ever met. He literally changed my life nearly twenty five years ago and helped me manage my back problems over that time – it was always a real pleasure to see him. Just having a consultation with him made the pain go away. I feel totally devastated and want to offer my sincerest condolences to his wife, children & all the family & of course Nicola. He was simply the best & there will never be another like him. Paula P-M  …

Dr White was lovely man. In my experience, he combined humour with a desire to alleviate the debilitating pain that I was suffering. He was successful in both….

Sadly I had only known Sean for a few years but he was just the most wonderful man – a doctor one actualy really looked forward to seeing!  Not just because he was such a good doctor but he was fun to be with and one felt better just having spent time with him.  I am so very sorry for his family and indeed Nicola and all who worked with him and can only add that even as a part time patient I am still reeling from the bad news. The world seems a lot more daunting without him -one just felt better knowing he was there.  Long before he died I realised how very lucky I was to be one of his patients and realised how much I relied on him.   It sorrows me that there he was helping so many of us and in the midst of so many leading doctors and yet none of us could help him in the end. How lucky for us to have known him and to have benefitted from his broad knowledge and his insight into how we mere mortals operate. My very best wishes and sympathy to the White…

It is with great sadness that I heard the devastating news of Dr White death. He was such a good practitioner, full of humour, and always available. I have had the pleasure to meet him few years ago, he has since treated many of my injuries, and changed my life. He was a great character and a true professional. You rarely find nowadays doctors like him, he will be missed. To his family, all I can say is that individuals like Dr Sean White don’t disappear; He will always be present looking after all of you. He will be just more discreet. My sincere condolences, All my thoughts and prayers are with you.  …

I am so so sorry to hear the news of Sean White passing. It has obviously come as a massive shock and really upsetting, I’m sure it has been incredibly difficult for everyone who was close to him.  He was such a genuinely lovely man, we had a great relationship and I always felt he really cared about me and my treatment. I had such respect for how he approached patient care.  I actually remembered when I was first referred by my GP I went to search him on Google and found his Bupa professional profile. I saw the following and instantly knew he was someone I’d get along great with: Personal interests Wine tastingCookingTree surgeryFancy dress poker Awards received Yellow stripe for half width swimming aged 7 years   A fantastic sense of humour always!    I’m so sorry and my thoughts are with all of his friends and his family. …

Sean had been helping me manage my back pain for several years. From the first time I met him, we were going to get on. His sense of humour was infectious, and his love of Arsenal was a common bond. He was exceptional in understanding and treating the pain issues. He will be truly missed, and my thoughts and prayers are with his family and colleagues. RIP Dr White….
