No one quite exemplified the kind of person you’d hope to meet at work, or anywhere else, for that matter.

He treated everyone as an equal and was incredibly kind to a new starter finding his feet. 

Although there are memories aplenty, the one that lingers: making him reconsider a slice of carrot cake.
