John was a kind and gentle soul. Although I didn’t have the opportunity to work with him on many projects, he would always stop for a brief chat and take the time to connect with people.

The news of his passing came as a great shock and was deeply upsetting. Durkan has certainly lost one of its true custodians, someone who cared deeply about the business and the people within it.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
