As so many people have already noted – and surely that in itself speaks volumes – Nick was someone who cared deeply for, and contributed greatly to, Lloyd’s in general and the political risks market in particular. His laugh made even the most difficult business meeting a little bit more bearable, and his focus was always on treating his customers and colleagues fairly. We are all just memories in the end, and Nick certainly created many happy ones for those who had the good fortune to know him.
