Francis Adzinku

Dearest Francis, I was deeply shocked and saddened to hear of your untimely passing. I was very lucky to have been a close friend and colleague for many years, since the early 1990’s. It was inspiring and fun to work with you on GD ward in Greenwich where we formed our professional partnership. We shared a tiny, window-less, canary yellow office, where we joked that we had “bunk desks” as space was so limited.

You were always there for me through thick and thin, and always so kind, generous and self-less. Over the last few years you guided me and supported me through a gruelling regime of  chemotherapy, surgery and radiotherapy. You were unwavering in your kindness, wisdom and humour. You helped me to manage my challenging journey in a way that only you could – I have indeed been so very fortunate to have had you as a very dear friend. You will be so sadly missed by all you knew and loved  you but your spirit and memory will live on in our hearts. Rest in peace, my dearest friend.
