I’ve known Marion since I joined Nether Currie Primary School back in Jan 2013 as the “Janny”. Right from day one we got on really well together. She made me feel a big part of the team the moment I walked in the door. She knew everything there was to know about the school, and was always there if I needed any advice or help, including “footing” my ladders when I had to go up onto the roof!

And she was always there in the office at the end of the day to listen to my moans and groans, something you never heard Marion doing!

We had some great School Christmas Party nights over the years, and quite a few late night pub evenings as well, along with our pals Helen and Kathleen from the school. Marion always made sure I got home safely by getting Geoff to come and pick us up!! 

It seemed like Marion knew everyone and everything there was to know about Currie and Balerno, and I know she was involved in lots of various activities which kept her on the go all the time. I’m sure everyone in the Currie and Balerno community will miss her help and enthusiasm which she gave freely and with a smile.

Thanks for all your help over the years Marion. I’m going to miss our pub catch ups.
