I was so shocked to have the tragic news about the losses of Simon, I still do not believe that Simon is no longer with us while we only had our last meeting a couple of weeks ago. My sincere condolences and my heartfelt thoughts are with his family. 

Simon, although we only met a couple of times face-to-face before pandemic and most of times we met online in past few years, your gentle voice, very calm tone and vivid smiling while speaking appear in my mind all the time. You are such a great figure having all of the ideal characters for people to comfortably work with. You are so kind, patient, thoughtful and friendly in your manner, never short of creative, innovative and stimulating thinking, always positive, supportive, encouraging, and helpful. We had a lot of great talks, ambitious plans and shared the same thoughts and visions in many exciting opportunities, it is really an immense loss without your presence in our future plan, but you will never be forgotten and you will always be part of our team. I will remeber you as a great friend, an ideal colleague and a prominent scientist. May you rest in peace in the haven.
