To Steve’s family, I really am so, so sorry for your tragic loss. Steve was the most amazing guy and he will be greatly missed by all that knew him. He was always extremely friendly and supportive to those he worked with, often going out of his way to help colleagues that needed assistance. And Steve was tremendous fun on a night out; he was a master at recounting stories over drinks and having us roaring with laughter. But for me it was Steve’s kindness and thoughtfulness that set him apart from others. He always took time to personally mark big events in people’s lives, be it with a gift or a personal message. A classic example was just last month. I was married on 20 July and Steve took time before he went away on holiday to send me a personal message wishing me well for the big day. I honestly didn’t expect to receive anything and it really meant a lot. That was Steve all over, always thinking of others. Steve was the most kind and genuine soul and whilst I cannot imagine how difficult a time it is for you right now, hopefully it gives some comfort to know that Steve really did touch so many lives in a positive way.
