Nick was a wonderful friend and collaborator. I have very fond memories of collaborating with him on mobile learning, and in particular on RVC fieldwork in Tanzania. He was hugely passionate and enthusiastic about veterinary care in Africa. He had this great photo from his days working in Botswana of him in the desert, driving a 2CV, if memory serves me correctly. He was very giving with his time, highly considerate of others and truly passionate about the opportunities that technology could enable for extending veterinary training beyond its traditional boundaries. WikiVet was a great example of this. He really valued his students’ work and reimagined the ways in which academia could better support them. I had the pleasure of doing a PhD co-supervision with him through the Bloomsbury Consortium and gave a few talks with him over the years (you can see him in action at Africa Gathering: https://vimeo.com/7286442). I will miss him and am comforted by all the great memories of our times together. Thinking of his family at this time. RIP.
