As many others have said, Al was a real character and a true force of nature.  He was always great company with an infectious enthusiasm, a fantastic sense of humour and a zest for life. I enjoyed discussing the various ups and downs of Bath Rugby and, as with many other things, his knowledge of and insight into, rugby was impressive.  I am sorry that I never got to hear him sing as everyone that has done so has given rave reviews. My sincere condolences to Al’s family at this incredibly difficult time.
