I’ve never met Jonathon in person, however I did work in the same Linux Support-related team as him for a short time in IT Services. I can’t recall a single time in which a conversation with him wasn’t as pleasant or informative as one could possibly hope for – I’d know that when he responded to a message of mine I’d be in for a treat, with no hint of arrogance – just warmth and wisdom. His loss will be felt by many I believe, not only for the loss of a great deal of knowledge but someone who did bring joviality to a place which is often mired in dispassion.
