I think many of us remember the managers we had, because they have the potential to have such an impact on our lives. 

Since Andy recruited me into his team, almost 7 years ago, he made two decisions that had more of a positive impact than he could have known. Andy granted me compassionate leave – as much as I needed, so that I could stay at the hospital with my wife. The second was when I returned to Achilles after trying my hand at a different career. I contacted him and he took the time to find me a role and welcome me back into the fold. 

I will miss his dry humour, his calm manner, his listening ear, and his safe pair of hands.
