Frank was one of the best. Always prepared to help, give advice, and in a positive manner give direction as to how things could be done. 

Combined with this was his great ability to, as he called it, “crunch the numbers”, to provide analysis and derive information from data.

I am going to miss him, and his wonderful ability to produce top class philatelic displays, to fairly judge and give encouraging feedback to others, and, basically, to be a warm, genuinely decent man who I found I got on with so readily. It has been a real pleasure to have known him for so many years and worked with him at the Royal.
