It is with great sadness that I learn Dr. George Walker’s news. 

George was a committed educator, a deep thinker, a world citizen and a firm believer in human values – thence in the IB. His touching manners, broad culture, multilingual approach and wise analyses were always evident, whether making a speech or in a private conversation. His various books are a legacy, as so are his internationalism and the example he embodied of our learner profile.

A true gentleman, the kind the world so much needs in these and all days, has left us – but his memories will be with us for ever. Thank you so much, dear George.
