Shaleen, you were an incredibly kind, caring and passionate person through and through. I cannot believe you have gone. The world has lost a shining light that it will never recover the loss of. Thank you for being a welcoming smile on mine (and everyone’s) first day at Diabetes UK. The fact so many say exactly the same, you were always so welcoming, truly shows what an incredible person you were. 

Your kindness, energy and unwavering commitment to making a difference, will live on in all of us who had the privilege to know you. You inspired so many, and your legacy will continue through the lives you touched.

I feel so lucky to have worked alongside you and to have called you a friend. You made every space brighter, every challenge lighter, and every person feel seen and valued.
