Adedoyin Onagoruwa (B.Sc., MBA, MAcc, CICA, ACIB, FCA)

Doyinmí as I used to call you. Almost 2 weeks after I heard this unpleasant news, I still find it difficult to write this. I’m just too shocked and sad that such a brilliant soul can go in his prime.

We met at the CBN Ibadan Clearing House in the year 2000. You were with the defunct Intercontinental Bank as a Corps member and already taking on the role of a full staff due to your brilliance! Your bank was the latest bank in the Clearing House and it was the norm then that the staff of a new bank in town will train under the staff of the last bank. So when my bank deployed me to the Clearing House, I was naturally handed over to you. We bonded immediately because we were the youngest bankers in the house. We became inseperable throuout our stay in the unit. Our relationship blossomed when we got transferred by our respective banks to Osogbo.

You were a gentle, cool headed, brilliant and God-fearing man. Willing to help and always with a smiling face.

Fare thee well bro. May God grant your soul perfect rest in His bosom. My heartfelt condolences to your amiable wife, your kids and the family you left behind.
