Robert Allison
It’s hard to think of a colleague who better embodied the Trinity spirit than Robert. Always ready to chat. Always ready to help. And, above all, always ready and willing to give of his time to the pupils. In his role as Senior Technician, Robert would stop by the Science Technicians’ Base on a daily basis and this was part and parcel of him ‘just checking in’! He liked to let us know that he could be called upon to help out any time and I know we all appreciated that thoughtfulness and care for his colleagues. In all the time I’ve known Robert, he was always exactly the same: passionate about spending time with his family, and a great lover of nature and the outdoors. I’ve often remembered how fondly he talked of himself and Christine practising their dancing at home on a weekend evening and how he engaged everyone he met in his observations of the birds in the school grounds. He shared his love of nature with such a sense of wonder and appreciation that it was contagious and you could see how much it captured the interest of pupils and left its mark on staff, who still take time to look around the school ‘Quad’ and take notice of the bird-life in a quiet moment of contemplation, or a pause for breath in a busy week and a moment to remember Robert with fondness. Robert you have been and continue to be greatly missed as a part of our school community. To your family, I send my deepest condolences. Rest in peace.
