Allan Meacock
I’ve known Allan for close to 20 years and we either spoke or messaged each other nearly every day for at least the last 10. We’d start each day talking about all things work related and nearly every time we’d finish the day talking about his very favourite thing….. his family. His wife, kids and especially his grand kids, it was clear where his soft spot lay!
I remember so many stories, camping, bike riding, bus driving, his time in the TA, a seemingly new car every other week, his new found love for his caravan, the list goes on… all told with a cheeky ‘scouse’ grin and a giggle.
Allan was a man of old fashioned values, mostly overlooked these days, loyalty and integrety being the two that first spring to mind. He was an absolute pleasure to work with, i always knew he had my back no matter what. A genuine, caring guy who would be the first to offer help and support whenever he thought it was needed, in truth he was a real rock.
He leaves behind such a large hole in all of our lives but above all else i’m so pleased i got to call him a friend.
“There are some that bring a light so bright into this world that even after they have gone the light still remains”
Rest easy Al mate.
