Dear Sheila, Nikita, Rishi and Shayan

This is a tough time, indeed, for you all. He was brave facing his illness and wanted so much to protect you from its consequences. But this is not, of course, possible – he did not understand the depth of your inter-dependance as a close family unit.

Ashok gave to so many: charities, his company and his wider family and  friends. Above all we thank him for treating us as part of your family for over thirty years and were honoured to be included at so many important occasions in his life, but more than these, to be able to be with you at home. We write again of his generosity and warmth to us . Now we we wish to share with you our grief at his passing.
