I was devastated to learn of the passing of my colleague and good friend, James Hart.

I knew him well over many years from his police service days and on into our security consulting days, where we sat together on several Company Boards as advisors or Non Executive Directors. Prior to meetings, we often stayed at the Special Forces Club and had many convivial evenings together.

He was a very fine man. Professionally he was balanced, urbane, methodical and tough, balanced with compassion and much good humour. He was a witty and hillarious companion and a great chooser of the wines at our numerous dinners and lunches!

James, you will be sadly missed, but go in peace, knowing that I will do the best I can to help Julie.
