I had the honor to meet James about two years ago through the Gers Men’s Luncheon group. I found him to be so very interesting and as the only American in the group I guess I was drawn to what I imagined as an elder “James Bond-esque” quality. I always looked forward to these luncheons, especially when I knew that he would be attending. The more I talked with him and learned about his amazing life, the more I appreciated the quality of his character. It was somehow reassuring to know that when there were dark times, such as 9/11, there were men such as James at the helm and working across international agencies for the protection and betterment of mankind. That type of resolute character, to help and work with others of all types, is rare indeed; and seems to be becoming an even more rare trait. I, as many, will miss our times together whether it be golfing, having our lunches, enjoying a beer, or just a laugh.
Our deepest condolences to the Hart family and to all those that had the grand opprotunity to know such a wonderful individual as James. He is greatly missed.
