I am deeply saddened by the passing of Dr. Prosper Chaki. He served as the assessor of my MSc Public Health research proposal, a program jointly offered by Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology in collaboration with Ifakara Health Institute.

During my oral proposal defence in November 2024, Dr. Chaki assessed my work with great professionalism and generosity. His insightful comments and constructive guidance significantly strengthened my research study. I am truly grateful for his mentorship and academic contribution.

His dedication to public health research and capacity building will be remembered and deeply missed. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may comfort be granted to his family, colleagues, and the academic community.
