Margaret was a lovely, generous person, passionately devoted to her work and always keen to help.  She was genuinely interested in people and always asked me about my daughters.  I remember speaking to her one evening, and mentioning that my daughter liked making things.  The next day, she came into work with a huge bag of pipecleaners and other things that had belonged to Nicole, and which she thought my daughter might like.  There was so much that I had to bring them home in instalments and I can only marvel at how Margaret managed this in one go.  They’ve been put to good use over the last few years.
