Dear family White

I have been so shocked and saddened to learn of Sean’s untimely passing and am writing to send my sincerest condolences to all of you on the loss of your much loved husband and father.  However, as I am sure that you know, Sean was so much more than that, helping so very many of us.

A brilliant doctor and a credit to his profession, he was the gentlest soul and one of the kindest doctors I have ever met. He got me through a most terrible period with my back (in the days of the lovely Rik) and was there for me again when my mother was dying, still visiting every day, just as a friend, even after he had handed her care to a palliative physician.

I shall never forget what he did for me, my family and the friends that I referred to him and I feel truly privileged to have been one of his patients.

My wish for you all, is that in time, your great feelings of loss, will be overshadowed by warm and happy memories of a most wonderful man
