Robert was truly an inspiration to so many young people and colleagues in Trinity High and one who would be deeply embarassed to hear me say that. He did not like attention, did not easily accept praise but at all times would do everything and anything he could for anyone in our school community. His sense of humour shone through on many occasions and he was not slow in passing an opinion if he thought it was needed. Sitting in many Technical Department meetings I can vouch for that and his comments were always worth listening to. Robert’s legacy will live on not only in the physical signs of his great skill in the School Oratory , virtually every Department across the school and in his advice to lesser mortals during the school Refurbishment but more importantly in the many kindnesses he showed to pupils and staff alike. Tough love at times he could give but always based on friendship and care. He was a fine colleague and friend who will be sadly missed in our community but never forgotten. As a husband and father he was proud of his family who equally were proud of him as was I to have known and worked alongside such a good man for 20 years. God Bless my friend and rest in peace.
