Neil was instrumental in my move to Glasgow, and it is has been the happiest place I have worked so far, in large part due to Neil’s calm and measured leadership.

He was so generous with his time and support for colleagues and students alike. I miss him so much, and will continue to do so, particularly our Friday evening (er….afternoon) beers, where the worries of the working week dissolved into silliness and chat. My thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.  May he Rest in Peace. Helen X
