Dr Ann Beckham (Roberts)
I am so glad that we had the Robert’s family reunions which I organised some years ago in an attempt to reconnect with members of the family that we hadn’t seen for many years. Ann so desparately wanted to have another one as she felt, as all us cousins did, that our children (second cousins) were all growing up and really could do with connecting again. Some of them were only tiny babies at the last reunion. Sadly, with one thing and another, I never got around to organising it and now Ann will no longer be able to come to the next one. I am so sorry Ann. However, I have just the best memories of you from these reunions. Your happy, smiley face as you rushed in on arrival at the hotel with Alexander making a beeline for the swimming pool a quick wave and “hello” as you ran through reception to the changing rooms. I loved your exuberance and enthusiasm for life. Always happy, always smiling and always positive on your outlook of life and as the tribute read at your funeral said “it’ll be fine”. You will be greatly missed but we will have another reunion and we will all raise our glasses in memory of you and the other members of the Robert’s family who are no longer with us.
